Looking for a java/lucene experienced developer. I paid quite a bit to develop the indexer and would like to keep it going. I own the hosting company that hosts this site and can provided lots of perks for the right person. Minimal time needed, most of the big stuff done. Biggest present task is indexing many different styles of sites. I've reviewed some new indexing tools that may evenetually replace the current one. For the researchers, please review th elist of indexed sites to ensure the current engine includes the info you are searching for.

Well... how about never needing to mess with difficult to use and costly legal databases! Kasten Legal is planning a multiphase project to bring legal research to you, at your office or on the road, with the easiest possible usage parameters. The legal index project is focusing on a free legal research tools, similar to Findlaw, that will remain free. Expanded paid services will be built to further the research tools. In addition to building lgal research tools, a document repository for a legal document exchange, forums for information sharing, and general legal news tools will be developed. All at a resonable cost! Please register and submit ideas so we can tailor our development phases to meet your needs! As Phase I nears completion, we have made several changes in our development process. These changes will allow us to continue developing our legal research engine, to include much more data that we initially thought. We have opened up a tangential site called www.pdajuris.com, which is the smartphone/PDA version of a legal research site. It's in a beta state right now, but will continue to develop as Lega-Seek does. Creating an authentication method that works for both sites is now in the works, and fine tuning the smartphone version to auto adjust to different screens sizes is also tops on that list. Phase II includes a much expanded index that will include many federal databases, statutes and code. We have include the US Code as a link on the site now, but that will soon be indexed too. Keep us aware of any items you wish to see on Kasten Legal! |
